Where is it: 1034 Underwood Road, Priestdale
Why we love it: It's such a beautiful, tranquil and welcoming place!
Tell me more: We were inspired to visit the Chung-Tian Temple (the name means 'Middle Heaven') after attending the Buddha Birth Day Festival, and we were pleasantly surprised! Situated about 30 minutes' drive south of Brisbane city, it was amazing to see such a beautiful temple complex and gardens, partially surrounded by Aussie bush! You are welcome to take a quiet stroll through the complex - there is even a cafe where you can sit and enjoy a cuppa or wander through the small gallery! The temple offers many educational classes relating to Buddhism and meditation and Tai Chi classes as well! The temple facility is a lovely place to visit and highly recommended!
Amenities: Full amenities including a small café - the Water Drop Teahouse! 👍👍👍👍
Parking: Plenty of parking available! 👍👍👍
Access: Easy to access and facilities for wheelchairs / prams! 👍👍👍👍
Best for: While everyone is welcome, perhaps parents will enjoy the tranquillity of Chung-Tian more than the kids! 👍👍👍
Summary: This really is a lovely place to visit and everyone here is very welcoming and friendly! The architecture and gardens are so different that you might feel like you are in a another country - until you spot a wallaby hopping through the gardens! 👍👍👍
Hints: The temple is very close to the awesome Underwood Park, so maybe plan to visit both!
