Pirate Island, Coochiemudlo Island
Where is it: Coochiemudlo Island, Redland City
What's it all about: A fun day of Pirate activities and games for the kids, made all the more exciting by a short ferry ride to Coochiemudlo Island!
How can I join in: Spots are limited, so register on the Pirate Island website and head down to Victoria Point to catch the ferry across to 'Coochie'!
Tell me more: Every year Coochiemudlo (or Coochie, as the locals call it) celebrates Flinders’ Day, commemorating the landing of Matthew Flinders' landing on Coochie over 200 years ago! The celebrations include heaps of pirate activities for the kids! It's such a fun day for the little guys to get dressed up, heading over to an island and joining in pirate games, pirate jumping castles and heaps more! The problem is, Flinders’ Day only comes around once a year, and our little pirates need to keep their skills up, so the great guys at Coochie and Redland City have put on some extra Pirate Days! Yarrr!!!
