What's it all about: A lovely movie about a little boy chasing his dreams!
Tell me more: Disney Pixar needs no introduction – their movies have pretty much revolutionised people’s expectations when it comes to kids movies! Coco is a very special movie that is set around the theme of Day of the Dead celebrations in Mexico! Miguel is a young boy who was born into a family of shoe-makers but despite his family’s ban on music he wants nothing more than to be a musician, and in his journey chasing his dreams he discovers the importance of his family and ancestry!
This was a lovely movie that like a lot of Disney Pixar films, offers great entertainment for the kids and more than enough to engage the parents! The computer-generated graphics and colours are vibrant and the music is spectacular! We went along with our 3 kids – our oldest, at 7, really connected with the storyline and couldn’t stop asking about his ancestry after the movie! Our younger boy who is 4 loved the setting and Miguel’s trusty sidekick – a street-dog named Dante! And even though this was our first time at the cinema with our little 2-year-old – she sat to attention and watched the whole movie – something we weren’t expecting but this movie certainly did grab us as a family! We rate this movie 4.5 out of 5 for families!
