Tell me more: We have been really spoiled for choice this year for Easter activities with the kids! So many fun things to do in so many different places - we think that the difficulty for the organisations putting these on is to do something a little bit different so that they stand out. This one is certainly up there as one of our favourites! A little bit of Easter craft - making our own fabulous Easter bonnets! Followed by a quick lunch from Donut King and then straight into an Easter egg hunt through the shopping centre! A really fun event and the limited numbers makes a big difference!
Pandanus Beach, Wynnum
Where is it: Wynnum Esplanade, Wynnum
Why we love it: Nice and calm and a gentle slope - great for little kids!
Tell me more: If you can get your kids past the awesome Wynnum Whale waterpark and playground, you'll find Pandanus Beach tucked in behind. It's part of the Wynnum Wading Pool Park complex and it's a great little beach for the youngsters! The really nice white, sandy beach looks great at high tide, while the gentle slope provides for heaps of room to run around and splash as the tide goes out! The muddy-sand at low tide is also perfect for searching for little crabs and sea-critters that call this beach home - great for introducing the little kids to this really important ecosystem!
Amenities: Good amenities in the adjacent park - toilets, picnic tables and barbeques! 👍👍👍
Parking: Off street parking is available, but this area gets very popular! 👍👍
Access: Easy enough to get to from the carpark however as it is a beach you may struggle with a pram! 👍👍
Best for: The little guys (under 6) should love this beach! It's a small area so the parents will love it too! 👍👍👍

What's it all about: Possibly the biggest Halloween party in Australia, this free annual event sees Manly taken over by thousands of costumed party-goers and is scary fun for the whole family!
How can I join in: Make sure that you've got scariest costumes on and head along to experience an awesome day of Halloween fun! Even pets can get into the spirit!
Tell me more: The main street of Manly is shut down and taken over by all sorts of scary characters for this really fun event - one of Brisbane's most well-known and certainly one of the scariest! Lots of entertainment - rides, stage and roaming performers, market stalls, competitions and more monsters, zombies, ghosts and ghouls that you can poke a stick at! The highlight of the event is most definitely the street parade, where anyone in costume can join in and parade down the street! There's even specially created Halloween themed cars! And of course it wouldn't be Halloween without a little trick or treating - there's plenty of opportunity for the little guys to try and scare a few treats out! We have always had heaps of fun at this party!
