Where is it: Various locations across Australia
What's it all about: A week to celebrate all the good and fun things that playgroups provide families!
How can I join in: Check out the Playgroup website to find out what's on!
Tell me more: Playgroup Queensland is an organisation that facilitates the creation of informal and relaxed playgroups - which are simply groups of kids and their carers getting together for a play! Every year Playgroup Queensland (and Playgroup Australia) sets aside a specific week of fun during Playgroup Week, where there are heaps of awesome activities and games for everyone to get involved in! There is a different theme every year, and there are various locations across the state and the country - we've been to themes of dress-ups and favourite books! They are lots of fun and a great way to get involved in playgroups with like-minded parents, and have all the usual activities to engage with the kids - craft, painting, games, storytime and heaps more!

Where is it: All across Queensland!
What's it all about: This event is simply about having fun! Encouraging the kids to get involved in pretend play helps them develop in a number of ways, but most of all it’s just fun!
How can I join in: Check with your favourite Playgroup for more details! Occasionally, Playgroup Queensland will arrange a specific event (at a park or other public location) which are bigger events and have lots of thing to do!
Tell me more: Playgroups are a great way for little kids (and their parents) to get together and socialise and play in an informal and relaxed way! Each year, Playgroups Queensland promotes Dress-up Day which is just a celebration of letting kids be kids and encouraging them to have fun! You can dress up however you like - sometimes there is a theme - get in touch with your local Playgroup to find out what they've got planned!
