Tell me more: NAIDOC (National Aboriginal and Islanders Day Observance Committee) Week runs during the first full week each July and celebrates Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander history, culture and achievements! Here in Brisbane, the Musgrave Park Family Fun Day is a huge celebration and lots of fun for everyone! There are performances, rides and games for the kids, as well as lots of information booths and a real carnival atmosphere!

Tell me more: NAIDOC Week celebrations are held during the first full week in July and there are lots of events celebrating the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. The Northside NAIDOC Community Fun Day has so many fun activities and things to do! There are lots of cultural activities – traditional dancing and music, as well as lots of fun things on for the kids with jumping castles, reptile displays, rides, games, animal farm, facepainting, crafts and storytelling! The lessons in cultural dance were very popular and so much fun! As with other NAIDOC week celebrations, there are a number of community and support services have stalls and information available – it’s a really positive event and lots of fun!
